We’re absolutely delighted to share that our June 2025 micro booklet will be Moon — a luminous and hauntingly beautiful short story by the brilliant Rachel Tribble.
Rachel’s piece was the winner of our Moon-themed writing prompt earlier this year, and from the moment we read it, we knew it was something special. Her story moves with the rhythm of the tide, weaving lyrical prose and emotional depth into something that feels mythic, intimate, and vast all at once. And the best part? The micro booklet will feature original illustrations by Rachel herself, bringing her vision to life in a truly unique and magical way.
All paying Lemon Jelly Press subscribers will receive a free copy of the micro booklet sent directly to their door — a small, powerful artefact of indie storytelling to treasure.
In Rachel’s own words:
“I’m so honored to be published by Lemon Jelly Press CIC. An indie press whose commitment to social impact and inclusivity deeply aligns with my own values. What touched my heart was that they not only understood my voice, but they seemed to recognize the deeper energy behind the words, the raw emotion that brought the work to life. It’s rare and deeply affirming to find a publisher that sees both the story and the soul behind it.”
We’re so happy to have discovered Rachel’s incredible work through Substack — a platform that continues to surprise and inspire us. It’s been a joy to see how it’s helped us grow a vibrant, supportive community of writers and readers who care deeply about creativity, connection, and independent publishing. Finding Rachel’s voice there felt like a moment of serendipity, and we’re honoured to now bring her work to print.
